Lessons

Team Tutsham is a family friendly group with a professional approach to horse management and riding. We welcome riders of all ages and abilities, especially children aged from six years.

We offer fun lessons in a safe environment where riders are given a better understanding of riding and horse care.
With a huge range of horses and ponies we match riders to suitable mounts to provide the very best experience for everyone.

All tuition can be tailored to specific and individual needs; from one to one lessons, to classes for you and your friends.
Or why not try something new and join in one of our group lessons, riders are separated depending on level of experience; from first time riders and lead rein lessons to more challenging lessons for the more experienced rider, these rides are a great opportunity to meet new people and enjoy the social side of riding too.

Please contact us for more information on how we can help meet your needs.

Meet our instructor Julie Seery

Julies qualifications are:

  • BHS  1, 2 & 3
  • NVQ 2&3
  • Horse Diploma (Hadlow College)
  • Qualified artificial insemination technician
At 16 Julie started at Highstead Riding Centre, where she worked on and off for 23 years. She gained her qualifications and in 1994 worked as a showjumping groom which she loved. During this time she also got the opportunity to compete locally, and went on to be a show groom.
One of Julies highlights was competing at the Kent County Show, and though she didn't place that day she bought her first horse Buster who was an American quarter horse and western trained.
With Buster she competed locally and nationally with a fair amount of success, also competing in affiliated dressage and she also trained a rider to competitive level.
In 2007 she went to Hadlow College where she gained a Horse Diploma.
At this time Julie continued to work at Highstead Riding Centre where over the years she has taught many people. In addition to teaching her other duties included helping with mares that are in foal, helping with covering of these mares, and handled the foals.

Currently Julie is looking after 5 dressage horses including a stallion and teaching at Team Tutsham - we thoroughly enjoy having Julie on board!
